AVL update

Congrats Ronnie and Ashley!

We are all slackers here. My update is this:

It is spring break!! Which means I still have work but no classes, and lots of free time to read!! That means do homework. Oh well.

It is the most beautiful spring morning here in Asheville. I'm going hiking with a new group of friends and then this evening going to the benefit concert/banquet for the elementary school where I work. Best day ever!!

Engagement

Well well well, I see that no one has posted here in a while, so I figured I would. Just wanted to let everyone know that Ashley and I are now engaged! =)

Birthday in the Woods

This weekend I turned old (23!) and decided I should celebrate the start of my demise into a decrepit, arthritis-riddled, entrenched-wrinkle state by going camping.

About 10 of us (including my parents and Stephanie Tashcereau) drove out to North Mills River in Pisgah National forest and spent a stunningly beautiful night next to the river. We stayed up late drinking wine, roasting s'mores, and talking and laughing until we could hardly breathe. It was an incredible birthday.

It is getting windy and cold in Asheville. Tonight will be our first hard frost, which means it is time to pull the green tomatoes from the garden and fry 'em up. Mmmm, fall.

Let's Make It Happen!!!

Okay folks, it's time we took some initiative here. Once-a-year weddings are pretty swell, but why should we only catch up once a year? I know some of you are better than me at keeping in touch, but I also know I'm not the only miserably incompetent friend here, so let's make it easy. Everyone can post here, we can all read it, and next time we see each other at a matrimonial (Stephanie *cough*) we won't be such strangers. Another perk: we can all chat about things together in the comments, so it will be kindasortamaybe like being together.
